Hi ramya,

I too am in my first trimester. There are tons of sites that provide info on pregancy diet. The baseline is to includes lots of fruits and vegetables. Also consume a larger amount of proteins and milk. My doctor has also suggested me to make sure I have 8-10 glasses of water a day...as if we need that with the constant run to the loo!!!

I have reduced intake of coffee to one cup a day and my MIL ensures I get my daily quota of leafy veggies. I feel very hungry and have to eat every 2 hours...and i keep some fruit or the other handy. If not fruits, it is peanuts or badams that are high in nutrition. Avoid very spicy food, but don't reduce salt intake unless your doctor has advised to.

If like me, u feel like hogging on food, best technique is to eat slow and chew well.

Well, that's about all i can think of now...have a wonderful pregnancy and enjoy every minute of it!
