Hello
I had c-section 6 months back and still when i look at my incision i see few cuts and feel its not properly healed. I consulted my gynae, she said incision is all healed up and its just in grown hair. What shall i do about this in-grown hair. Sometimes i feel bit pain and lot of pulling around incision area.

Also i' ve started feeling Pain in my legs after delivery. I take calcium supplement and drink 1 big cup of milk daily. My gynae didnt suggested anything to me in this regard.
If anyone has gone thru this please help me out.

Niti

I would not be comfortable with that ingrown hair explanation, for the simple reason that a stitch is supposed to make the area as it was before the surgery, and there is no question of having ingrown hair that deep before the surgery. Also, outer stitches are supposed to heal in 10 days, and that is usually the time when the hair growing back is not big enough to be ingrown.
My doctor from the last surgery left an outer stitch unhealed and assured us all was well. It is still unhealed after nearly 2 years and its a miracle that it didnt become a fissure.
I went to another doctor 2 weeks after my surgery because i was uncomfortable about the way my stitches were coming along and my doc was hell bent on telling me that all is well.

Even I had the same problem around 6months after csection - it became like a boil near the stitches and slight pus came out - my gyn mentioned that it was because of the ingrown hair and just put a warm compress on it so it breaks and pus comes out- dont worry about as gyn has checked and mentioned that the incision has healed

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
