Hi,
I am in the end of 5th month. I have taken ultra sound scan regularly. Somebody told its not good to baby's health. I am very much worried.. But i have taken due to some circumstances not willingly. pls advice..

ultrasound is absolutely safe... and anyways you went in for it only after your doc recommended it... leave it for your doc to decide how many times you need to go in for one. Usually doctors recommend the first one around 12 weeks, second one in the 5th month and one later... however, depending upon needs it can be more. My first child, i had about 6 of them... so stay calm and relaxed... and everything is fine..

Subject:  Ultrasound Scan is safe - My doctor says



Hi,

I just completed 4 months and my 5th month is going on . I have already had 3 scans and my next scan will be end of this month.

Even I had the same concern as yours, and when I asked my doctor, she said that she had 13 scans altogether during her pregnancy. She also said, if it wasn't safe, then they would not have recommended us to get it done.

If you are still concerned, feel free to ask your doctor about this.
