I think instead of spending soo much on books like encyclopedia you should buy them a student's tablet. Much more information is available on it than encyclopedia and you can use it for many more things like for playing games too.

Acc to what i know grolier international books are encyclopedias and if your child is interested in them then it is of great use but then there is also one thing that all the information that is needed is available on the internet.

The worth depends on how you choose to use it. If you use it properly then you will find all of it worth it but then no matter how good the book is, if you don't use it there is no meaning of buying it.

The use of the books depends on whether your child red or refers to the books or not. These types of books are quite expensive but if you use them properly and refer to them for things they are very useful and worth the price.

What are those books about? Are they textbooks for some board or just reference books? Spending money on books can never be a waste because no matter what books always give from a lil to a lot of knowledge to the reader.

Yeah! They are very useful from what I've heard from a friend of mine, she has twins and she finds them very much informative and educational. You could buy second hand stuff if you feel they are too expensive; a lot of people do that!

I bought a few of these books recently for my little one. They are pretty good. Try these online places for used ones - Parentree and eBay. You can even post for it here in IndiaParenting I guess to see if anyone has used books.

They are pretty useful and Payal suggests you can get them online at cheap rates (Used ones I mean). I know of a lot of parents who have used the product and recommend it highly. In fact, there are 2-3 parents at my kids' school (Orchids) who vouch for it. Try buying used ones online.
