Hi,

I had a c-sec a month ago. The doc that operated on me is a family friend, she had asked me to start simple exercises after the 10th day of delivery. However I did wait until 15 days and started simple exercises on the bed itself, like lifting both legs and bringing them down. It is difficult for me to exercise alone, so hubby helps.

I think 3 months is sufficient time to join gym or start regular exercises. Do get your doc' s approval. Avoid weights, focus more on floor exercises if you want to flatten your abs.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
