You all must feal this to be a very silly question...but i am trying to introduce rice for yash and not able to cook it as wanted..
it needs to be a puree ..so how do you all cook it..i am trying(cooked in cooker ..also tried using a strainer which is not that fine one).when i try to mash it...it does not become very fine...
when i gave a bit(mixed with BM - tried 2 times so far) he started making weird faces(i know it is also due to new food) ...and i am always afraid since it is not a fine puree is he choking or what ???
so just let me know how you guys cook it ....and how long did it take for her/him to like it...i can try it....

i cook rice,dhal and a veg in pr cool with more water. then puree it to feed prisha. she loves it.add vegs like carrot, squash so that it gets good taste

i just boil the rice in water and strin them that starch come out . and then put 2 spoon boiled rice in strain and then mash it with spoon with some pressure so that a very thin mashed paste comes down the strain and take it out safely from the bottom of strain...keep on adding a spoon of starch in rice in strainer that will help in mashing prperly..

then mix the strained paste and starch and to make it as light enough to give the baby. add a pinch of salt too.

i cook rice wiht 1:4 ratio (1-rice 4-water)for 4 wisels..shashanth didnt like rice with moong dal..so i cook thoor dal in seperate bowl in the same cooker along with rice and mix 2 spoons of dal with 2 spoons of cooked rice and mash it well with spoon (some babies doesnt like the taste with we grind them in mixie). make sure u mash it when its very hot ..and i add 1/2 spoon ghee and little boiled potato and rasam for taste with little salt.
he likes this combination...
my kid started liking it after 4-5 attempts only...he doesnt like plain dal+rice..he likes rasam with it..
so try with different veggis and rasam..
also he doesnt eat sitting in the same position..i need to carry him all around the house and the gardern to make him eat..
