Dear Trups,
Looks nothing to worry,
you are likely facing Round Ligaments or
Braxton Hicks Contractions.

In round ligaments you will feel pain in lower abdomen, or on the sides of lower abdomen, pain may subside in 10-15 minutes or less than that, take rest. This is normal part of pregnancy.
Round ligaments stay almost through the second trimester and mid of third trimester. They tend to get more during week 18-week 24.

If you are week 20 or beyond then likely possibility of BHC (Braxton Hicks Contractions). These are contractions to prepare you for labor in future. The will subside by changing your activity. If you were walking then rest, lye on the bed on your sides. If you were sleeping or resting then take a small walk in house.

Yes growing uterus and twins exerting pressure on both sides of lower abdomen is very likely. Overall I don't think anything is to worry unless pain does not subside by changing activity or by resting in the bed.

It's usful to add your weeks of gestation to pinpoint what exactly is going on.

Good luck
Archie
