Hi,
I am mother of 22 months old toddler. Recently we have put him in daycare (9:00AM to 6:00PM) in Koramangala, Bangalore. The problem is he cries when we leave in DayCare. Infact he starts crying and says no-no when we start from home. So its becoming very difficult both mentally and physically for both me and my husband to drop in daycare. He has been going to daycare from last 3 months and had been crying everyday.
Please let me know if its normal or is there something wrong in daycare?

Reetu replied. My daughter was there in Vivaa for sometime. She was not crying there but she was not happy also.

-Daycare is clean and my child did not get any infection there
-Owner of daycare is always available

-My daughter was not eating properly there and her appetite is reduced after going there. But all boxes used to come empty from daycare. I observed that during weekend my daughter was not even eating half of the food which I used to pack for her everyday. When asked same to owner Nandita her reply was she is eating everything here and if you don’t trust us put your child in some other daycare. I was very disappointed with her behavior. They take 6 months fees in advance and when you complain/request they say go to some other daycare
-they keep holiday in daycare and then charge emergency daycare charges. I don’t know why???
-Summer vacation camps and Dasehra vacations camps run by maids only. No teacher or qualified person available there. You have to pay double charges compare to other school’s summer vacation charge
-Maids keep on changing there. Your child has to adjust with different maids

Yes the issue was with the daycare. The daycare name is Vivaa International - located in Koramamngala.
I withdrew my son from this daycare and he is happy now.

Shree Nandina replied. I think there is something wrong in day care. From my experience if a child loves a place he or she will go happily after few days. RumA replied. he is less than 2 yrs old, so it is like taking him out of his comfort zone, it all takes a lot of getting used to and there are other moms facing the same thing so dont worry he will be alrite, talk abt it at home and make up stories about happy kid and day care being a happy place, build +ve energy around that place when he is away from it so slowly he will start looking fwd to it, ofcourse its in ur interests to find out if something is wrong with daycare, u can find out by talking to fellow parents cuz kids who dont like a certain school might behave similarly. so talk to them
