Hi,
My little baby is 9 months and very active socially. She was very quite and happy girl but since last few days she has become very cranky and wants me to be with her all the time. She does not allow me to go away from her and if i do she cries and makes my life miserable. she was not like that before. Last 2 weeks she was not well and had temperature and cold. Is she doin all this just get sympathy or isit teething or something else. i am really pissed off. my poor baby is just not the happy little girl she used be. What could be the problem? do all babies at this age become restless, cranky and demanding.
Pl. Help.
Sheetal

Hi,
it does get on the nerves when kids behave in that manner. yr baby must be not fully recovered from her sickness and her gums too must be irritating her. she will get over it , just a matter of time.
there are certain stages and this is one, where they want to be pampered a lot and start yelling but we have to be a real patience and deal with it in a cool manner.

Hi Sheetal,

I have a five and half months old baby and I face the same problem right from 3 months onwards. She wants me to be with her always and not letting do any work. If i sit near her she is calm and playing. If i move then thatz it the next moment she starts crying and am not able to pacify her after that. Please help and am very much worried.

Thanx a lot
Aarthi

Hi, I have a 8 1/2 month old girl. This behaviour is quite common at this point. This is just separation anxiety and also they might get the stranger anxiety. So don't worry about it. Let them interact with people as much as possible and this will go away soon. My daughter had stranger anxiety when she was 3 1/2 months old and then she was the most friendliest kid around for a few months and now she got the stranger anxiety back. I am sure this is just a phase and it will go away. I take her to playgroups and meet my friends anytime I get a chance. Don't loose your patience.Just cross your fingers. Good luck.

We also thought that maybe its theeting time, but i hv'nt seen the white pearls as yet.... but thanks to a gel that our pediatric advised atleast the irritation in her gums is gone..... ask yr doc 'bout it

dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
