Hi All,

I have a 2 1/2 month old daughter. As I am employed with a private organization and my job demands lot of attention. I had to start working for 1/2 days last month & now from 1st may onwards full day. My office is 1 hr away from home so all together I leave my baby for almost 10 - 11 hrs.

Now a days I feel very guilty of not spending enough time with her. As now she started recognizing me & looks at me when I was about to leave for office.... at the moment my mom in law is there to take care of her but she will be leaving by this weekend. I also have a full time maid... but some how not able to really on her..

Whole day in office I keep thinking about her & keep feeling scared that things are fine with her or not?

Please advice is it normal to feel same and how other mom's are coping up...

I have also moved to the Jan board because no one posts anymore in the Feb board anymore. It's a pity since we were such a great group but I guess everyone is busy with motherhood!

Don't feel so bad about leaving her. These feelings are very normal. With my first one I went back to work also when he was 2 months old and I was working part time for 5 hours but still I used to feel guilty. At least this time around I am lucky to be at home full time.

Spend time with her once you get home, best thing to do is give her massage, bath her and whilst doing this sing to her, talk to her. Babies love their mother's, voice, touch and scent. So spend all your time and energy after her once you are home.
