How are you doing? All must be feeling slow to strong baby movements & enjoying every moment.

I had my 20th week scan last week. Everything is normal, which is a great relief. The baby was sleeping with back up,it was oving but not ready to sleep on back. So had to struggle a bit to move the baby. some jumps, stairs,brisk walks & finally it slept on back. This as required for the sonographer to check heart chambers. And finally succeeded !!!!
I was little confused as to know the gender of the baby or not. But my hubby dear was sure, he wanted the suspense to be there for few more months. So we did not know the gender.
I think it may be a little difficult to shop certain things, but that should be OK.
I had follow up check with doctor too after the big scan & she is happy with the report. Just would have been more happy if I could put on a couple of pounds more :).

Aparna, you must be having your scan on 17th if I am right. All the best. Hope your baby will co-operate to identify the gender. Will be eagerly expecting update from you soon.

Aparna replied. Hi Everybody,

I am so happy to share the news that I am going to have a baby GIRL :) Yeah, we are so excited.
But the scanning was a little bit hard/uneasy. First the lady said she is not going to answer any questions but doc will come to tell everything.
Once she started scanning, she poked my stomach so many times. It seems my baby is comfortable in one position that she didn' t want to turn other way. Then she asked me to turn, make sudden moves, walk etc. That wasn' t funny.
Later doc came and said she need to take the measurements as other lady couldn' t. But I guess my baby didn' t like this doc too. She sent my son outside as he was humming something and she said she couldn' t concentrate.
She also asked me to turn to other sides and poked again and again. Atlast, she said: \" I got all measurements, everything looks good and you are having baby girl\" .

I was kind of relieved as she didn' t ask me to come again. So, now we are going to have complete family.

Perky, Good to know that your scanning went well. When is your due date?

Still not found a way to knw the gender. Ck just mentioed about a guessing site. I will go thru that for my mental satisfaction. But have not yet felt baby movements. Hope u have. Take care
