I am 24 years old. Me and my husband moved to US last year. I have thick black hair till my back. Since last few months my husband has been bugging me to get my hair cut. Last week I had my friend trimmed a couple of inches but he said he would like me to have much shorter styles. I cannot imagine giving into his wishes but we both love each other very much. I dont know how to keep him pleased and keep my hair long. Jo Prabhu replied. I don't think it is right for him to ask you to cut your hair to please him. What will he ask you to do next?
He is supposed to love you through thick and thin, long hair or short.
Love is not about giving in to your husband. True Love is about sharing and respect and acceptance or what or who we are.

If you feel unattractive, then by all means wear your hair up once in awhile or style or color it to suit your face. Many Indian women think that long hair is attractive in the Western world, but that is far from the truth. Long hair is only attractive unless it frames your face and suits you body and general characteristics.

Here is what I have to say: Giving away what is dear to to you or what you like very much is TRUE giving... Giving away what you do not like or what is not dear to you in not giving away at all, so giving is all about let go what you like and not what you dont like, and hair off all the things is gonna grow back is it not ? So I think you must please your hubby, after all his request is very reasonable and can be fulfilled by you since you love him dearly..... May be he can cut you hair to the length he wishes, just let your hair down and allow him to do the rest... You in the US so you will have no problems with relatives etc even if the hair style seems very bold etc etc.......
