Due Date Club October 2005:Rough Rash on the cheek

Name: Veenu Rohan - is having rough red rash on his right cheek and it is not going away for past 2 - 3 weeks. I first thought it is food... I stopped everything except cereals as he is taking that from 4.5 months. It didn't go away... Then i stopped rice cereal... noop... I started after from 2 days again sweet potatoes and giving him from last 3 days and noticed one small tiny rash erupting with existing rash...

Could it sweet potatatoes or weather to be blamed on his teething... So confused... Help plzz...

I have taken appointment with the doc this saturday... Let's see...

Rash....

Hey my baby had a drool rash... It was the same as you described it was red and rough too.. she got it by rubbing her drool on her cheeks... my doc told not to apply anything on it as it would aggrevate more... Does Rohan keep rubbing his face all the time??? Good that you have an appointment on saturday... Is the rash really bothering rohan a lot???? like is he cranky and irritable???? As Sireesha said it might also be from the carpet... keep us updated abt his appointment....

hi Veenu
even Rhea gets rash on and off only n face.it stays for a week and then goes itself. what i noticed in rheas case is its due to carpet. whenever she goes on untidy carpet immediately she gets it. i apply aquaphar on it and it gives me immediate relief.
In rohans case it may be due to food also.anyways u hv an appointmen with ped right,so dont get worried.i dont think sweetpotato cld cause this. anyways i hv posted my exp.dont owrry try putting aquaphaor on it.luv to Rohan.

Thanks Sireesha. I will let u know what ped says. I was worried because it is not going away...but relief is that it is not itching... and yes i make sure he is lying on a clean bedsheet or comforter but from now onwards shall be extra careful.

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
I have been busy since i joined work since Jan ,so my inlaws are here to help with kids.i terribley miss both kids during day.
