Hi I' m Arpita from Chd..into my 20th Week ..I got my ultrasound done at 18th week and the report shows that my placenta is low lying .the lower margin of placenta is 1.7 cm from the os.

I m from chennai carrying twins, one of my baby' s placenta is low lying just 1.2cm from os and i m 18weeks pregnant now. i m not supposed to climb up and down the stairs, go out, bend, and excert pressure of any kind. If your placenta is covering your cervix you have to slow down little. no excessive work and try to rest as much as possible coz it could cause bleeding. some time does move up and you will be alright but you have to go for regular checkup to see that. In worst case it does not move up you might have c-section. I had placenta previa in my last pregnancy and i was on bed rest. I hope this will help you. don' t worry most of the time it move up later in pregnancy when uterus expand.
