Hair Care:Have thick but frizzy hair...what to do

I have medium length straight and thick hair. I use almond oil once a week and shampoo my hair twice a week. However, after trying all sorts of conditioners and gels, my hair gets frizzy when dry. They look rough and dry though the scalp seems healthy. My husband is very unhappy with that look and I am unsure of what to do for the hair to be shiny and relaxed!! After 2 days when hair starts getting dirty, the hair settles down and looks fine. But can't keep my hair dirty forever to keep the settled look.
Please advice asap. Thank you.

Dear Clueless:-)
Take it from the top, let's 4get the olive oil, it does nothing to help your type of hair. You need to get your hair CUT into long layers, reducing the thick, bulkyness of the overall look and you will ffind this is easioer to handle. Don't kid glove your hair, it is *dead*!!

Every day m,assage your scalp and wash your hair with Trevor sorbie's de-frixzzing shampoo and then use the same brand conditioner. He also produces a gr8 straightening serum..but don't use too much, that gunky, weighed down look is rubbish:-)

Get a hairdresser5 to show you how to blow dry and how to use ceramic straighteners. Have no mercy on your hair in regards to getting the style you want but *always* put in what you take out.

If you want to really alter your hair there is a straigtening process that *improves* the hair texture..it's called Yuko, it's a Japanese technique but available in good salons.

It costs about £300.00. While you are saving check out the frizz-bustin range from Twisted Sista.
Wishing you every success:-)

Hi, I have the same problem as you, I have very thick frizzy hair and nothing seemed to calm my hair down. Whenever I use to wash it, it becasme extreamly fuzzy. I use plain conditioner, like the one you are supose to wash out, i put it in my hair and let it dry with my hair. After, my hair is not as frizzy, and looks better. Maybe you can try this.
Good Luck, Aveena

Why dont you go to a salon. They will show you how to blow dry your hair and style it properly. I did that since my hair was light and wavy to. I straight them every now and then with a blow dryer(low heat setting)
Looks more styled and neater.

Definetely make an apnt at the hair salon. It will make a huge diff.

Texturizing spray for thin hair
Hello everyone,
I have medium volume hair but my hair type is very thin and silky. Due to which my hair doesn't hold curls for long hours. I have heard that texturizing spray helps to solve the above problem. Could someone please suggest the good texturizing spray for thin hair?... - Amulya Peru [View Message]
