Hi all:

Howz ur new life style? I had my postpartum visit yesterday and my doc had given green signal for exercise :-) I am planning to do some streching exercises first then after a couple of weeks start on something serious. what are ur plans? how many pounds did u all lose so far? For me I lost around 27 lbs :-) still have lot more to go... especially the tummy :-( Anyway do share your exercise plans also...

Jenn, sorry for not calling. I will be busy for 2 more weeks as my inlaws r leaving on 19th so do expect a call frm me after that... or else if u r ready we can even meet at the same place like before. Will call u anyway..

Hi Friends,

Am from the August board. Just read your messages about having lost wait and Abha has been even able to fit into her old jeans....Wow! Congrats! Another milestone achieved. Keep up the good work and keep us all updated.

These are all very precious lessons for us who are following in the same direction.

Cheers!

Renuka

Hi mansi/abha, did you do any exercise at all before the 6 weeks? I delivered 3 weeks back but feel fine so I was wondering if I can start some tummy exercises. I do a 15 minute walk with my dog every other day - do you think thats too much? I still have to lose 15 more pounds and have a significant bulge also.

Hii,
If you had a ceasrean delivery... its best to wait for 6 weeks before getting done to any exercising. The stitches are still healing internally (though from outside it might look as though they have healed completely). A brisk walk everyday is a good idea at this stage. And dont worry slowly and gradually u'll surely shed off the excess weight..

All the best,
Abha

Hi,
Yeah its a good time to start exercising. My doc too gave me the go ahead. Try some floor exercise and tummy toning exercises. Also a brisk walk for 15 min everyday helps alot. I had a ceasarean, and except for a little bulge on the tummy have been able to shed off all the excess weight :) I cant tell u how elated i was when i fit into my old jeans :)
But one word of caution, exercise only how much ur body can take it.... ur stamina will build up only slowly and gradually. Also, keep having a good healthy diet... no compromises on tht account. Anyways its best to lose weight the slow and steady way.... rather than expect any overnight changes.
All the best.
Hows Adi. Give her my love
Abha
