Crying & Colic:Help my baby to get cure from Eczema !

Name: Indian ! Hi,

My baby is just 5 months old.she's suffering from Eczema for the past 1 month.sometimes her cheeks becomes too redish.her hands,legs just below the knees looks too dry & scalps. she's scratching that so that it becomes worsen.Dr. adviced me to use Elidel,DoveSoap & Lubriderm moisturising Lotion for her. no improvements sofar.I'm feeding her Enfamil-LIPIL only .but Dr. asked us to give Similac-Aluimentum or Nutragen for her. v tried her so many times these formulas but she never likes it.she just closed her mouths she never like those formulas.Dr. told may be c may have any food-allergy so he asked us to change her formula. but she cant take it. what i should do? i'm daily giving bath her by applying Oliveoil before giving her a bath. At US so many brands of Oliveoils here? so could u suggest the best brand? and what i should do to get rid of Eczema for my baby? Please help my baby to get cure of Eczema!

Hi I really sympathise with you. Usually eczema is triggered by things like strong washing powder or wool. You have to find out what makes it worse. sometimes it can be dustmites or pollens as well. So try using cotton clothes and a very mild washing powder. Also get your doctor to prescribe you hydrocortisone ointment.

My daughter has terrible eczema as do I. If home remedies are not working, pressure your doctor to provide some prescription medicine. From experience, severe cases require stronger \";medicine\";. Within a few weeks, my 22 month old's eczema is fully under control.

my 23 months old son has pollen allergy - his eczema is under control for few days with 2.5 gm cortizone cream but again it becomes worse. what to do for pollen allergy wihout avoiding going out.
He is also allergic to dairy and soy products so we completely remove dairy and soy food from his diet.

If your child's eczema is under control - does it mean that now you don't need to apply any cream?

Please apply vinegar on affected parts after cleaning with soap than apply. at least 3 to 4 times a day
