Due Date Club April 2007:Hi Archie.: update of 20th week scan report
2006-11-29
Name: catch_sb

Hi Archie,
today i had my 20th week scanning..
below are the details for ur information.
ultrasound age=20 weeks 6 days
presentation=cephalic

fetal measurements:
BPD=48
HC=181
AC=154
FL=38

Everything else is written as normal.

one more thing i would like to mention to u is one of my blood reports.
haemoglobin A2 level 2.1% normalrange=(1.7-3.3)
haemogobin F <.5% Normal range(.1-1.0)
no evidence of sickle hb common hb or beta thal.
however in view od rbc indices possible iron deficiency and or alpha thalassaemia. though its written as no further action required.
partner not required for testing.
hypochromic cells 1%
hb=11.9g/dl.
do u think my blood reports are normal?. whats this alpha thal?
the samples were taken when i was 14 weeks pregnant and i was unable to intake much food during that period..

the midwife who was doing my USG today in the hospital did mention as of now the measurements seemed to be fine..there wont be any USG further unless felt by the midwife with whom i am registered with at my local clinic.

pls let me know whether u think the measurements are okay or not and if there is anything i sud do further.
last but not least thanks a lot for all ur help, ur suggestions, ur concerns ,for listening so patiently to all my querries..
God Bless You
Cheers

baby is growing to it's gestation and no concern at all.
Alpha thalassemia is something you will need to check in your baby after birth, this is a genetic thing and not necessarily be followed by testing your partner for the same.
I don't see iron deficiency as your HB Is perfect.

you are doing fine.
