Hi all,
I am expecting my second child and i am close to 12 weeks completion now. During my first checkup I had my blood/urine tests done. Was scheduled for an ulatrsound after 11 weeks by the NP. When I visited the doctor, she refused to do any checkup or u/s mentioning that she can't do anything until 14 weeks. Not even a routine checkup to see if the baby developing fine was done. She just sent me away mentioning that all tests came out okay. Is this normal? Any advise, suggestions is appreciated.

If drr tinks everything is o.k then they will tell you to come back later time. i think at 14 months they will use doppler tio moitor heartbeat.

Did they hear the babys heart beat?.if they did then it is fine.they dont do any internal examnation until you are in 3rd trimester.or measure your tummy until you are in 2nd trimester.take care.

Hello,
Thanks much on your reply. Actually the doc didn't take the baby's heart beat. When I asked her during my 11 week checkup, she said that her clinic is not equiped to hear the heart beat until 14 weeks. It all sounded pretty strange to me....
