Last month, I had some stomach ache that prompted me to get myself checked with my physician. I got some blood work done and the reports came recently. Doc has further requested or a Ultrasound around upper abdomen area. She mentioned that it could be something with pancreas as all the reports were fine except one. She said it might be some deposit that could lead to stone formation. Co-incidentally day before yesterday I had this acute shooting pain that was around my belly button. It felt as if someone is strongly pulling my nerves from inside or stabbing me and I nearly yelled my lungs out. The pain lasted just for few minutes though but the fear or reoccurring kept me on bed whole day long. I also felt that when I went to pee that re-occurred and this time with more strain. Now am back to normal but really scared if the pain comes again.

Are the two pains connected? I am really tensed. Is something wrong going with my body? verne replied. your pancreas isnt situated near your belly button, but the pain might radiate to your belly button. Ask your doctor which test if off the mark, it should be pancreatic enzymes, amylase i suppose.
Pancreatic stones are unheard of, pancreatitis is heard of though.
An ultrasound or a ct can make a confirmative diagnosis.
The two pains could be definitely connected. Consult a good surgeon regarding this, instead of a general physician.
