Sidharth got constipation issue. his bowel movement is once a day now, previously he used to go for atleast 4-5 times a day or sometimes with every feed. Doc says it's normal and nothing to worry. also pooh is greenish in color. Does anyone has similar issue? what does your doc say?

sree bhargavi replied. i think babies pooping once a day is normal also as far as the consistency is fine depending on the type of feed ie breastfed babies will have more flowy stools than formula fed ones.
as far as stools being green ur baby is affecyed by ur diet,so if u had leafy vegetables that day or previous day a greenish tinge is ok.notice that when u have carrots or beetroot the poop will be slightly darker yellow/orangetinged.my mother in law told me this.
but if the poop is consistently green good to take ur ped's advice

When baby is constipated you cd try rubbing hing(mixed with little water) on his tummy. This eases out the bowel movements and relives any tummy pain or gas. I have tried this with my little one and it works wonders.
