Hi all expecting moms..n Congrats for this new joy of ur life...

I' m into my 19th week but really don' t feel like having anything mainly coz of my nausea(which is really bad but gradually improving)I have a strong aversion to onion, garlic, oil and hing..can anyone pls guide me as to what could be a healthy diet, easy to make and filling too taking into consideration my aversions...I really don' t feel like getting up and cooking 4 myself ..though I' m in a joint family and do cook for everyone but my aversions don' t allow me to even think of having that food also I don' t want to burden any one in the family with my things though they keep helping in their own ways...Pls help and if possible pls let me know some easy to prepare nutritious foods and also how to prep. them specifically for breakfast, lunch n dinner..

hi asmita,
apart from the sandwiches, toasts and other bread preps, u can try idly dosa if u like them. U can eat them as often as u want, get readymade batter and u cen make them anytime, avoid onion garlic in sambar and add any vegetable u like. Its filling and nutritious. I survived my nauseatic days mostly on them as i could not even tolerate soups and salads except tomaotes. Fruit Custard and dryfruits can be a good choice for in between meals along with salads and fruits. I also ate popcorn and murmura (bhel, or just sauted with tomatoes and kairi topping) vegetable cutlet (just grind any vegetable -like carrots cucumber capsicum cabbage peas beans-bind with bread or boiled potato and shallow fry). All these does not take lot of time if u got servent help. Sometimes variety can also help fight nausea so dont stick to a diet routine.

Hi Asmita
Congratulations and good to know you are also in your 19 th week.If possible try to avoid onion, garlic in the food you cook for yourself and others and see if that helps. Also try to have some snacks between meals like salads and fruits. If possible try to make a sandwich with some veggies and also try to take a good intake of milk and yogurt.I am sure you must have tried most of these, but I hope it helps.

hi
i haven' t done it but i heard about it. it is similar to ultrasound but much more clear. u will actully see the baby than just a figure. one of my friend did it. there is a fee for it.
they can even show u the gender very clearly than ultrasound. it is done around 20week.
