Hi everyone,
hope everyone is doing good with their babies..well, last week went for my baby's 6th mnth check up..she got 4 shots..but weight was very less near to 13 pounds only..so pedt prescribed a vitamin drops to give it to her..but her height was 26 1/2 inch lenght..its good..only we r worrying about her weight..already 7th mnth started.. i'm giving her solid foods for 2mnths..but for past 2 mnths only she gained 2 pounds..she is very hyper active..i don't how to increase her weight..her birth weight was 6 pounds 6 ozs..anybody help me that how to increase her weight..waht diet can i follow for her...all inputs r appreciated..

I am from Nov2005 group. One of my friends was having the weight problem with her daughter. Her DOc advised to supplement the formula.
Also you can give her the night feeding if your lil is sleeping through the night. You can give feed her either waking her up or just give the bottle. If you are breast feeding you can pump the milk and see how many OZs she drinks in one time.
You can supplement little bit of formula after the feeding. She will not drink it in the beginning but eventually she will..

Hi friends, got a chance to get onto Inet. Pl don't worry about the weight as long as the baby is active. Even my baby is around 6 kgs in her 6th month. Her Dr is ok with it. American doctors worry for very simply things. Just relax. Solids and breastmilk should help them put on weight. Do continue.

Guys,

Couple of friends said FORMULA will surely increase baby weight.. and raghi too helps a lot... not sure though..

stuffing too much of solids also tends the babies to lose weight.. (read in some website)...

i am sure lil ones will gain weight.. we need not worry too much coz they are all active babies..

not sure about my baby weight.. will go for 6 months check up.. i will also raise this issue to my ped..

hi vara,suki,Newyork121 thnks for replying my msg..i'm feeding her my level best..but nowadays she doesn't drink formula more than 3ozs..she is on breastfeeding..she is having terrible itching all over her body becoz of eczyma..so she doesn't sleep properly..i'm very much worrying about her eczyma..skin is better now but still she is having itching..sometimes bleeds from her head..
sireesha, i'm giving her polyvitamin drops..we'll see..

me too sailing in the same boat.my Rhea's birth weight was 6 pounds and at the end of 5 months shes just 12 pounds. i'm also very much worried.all her other activities weregood. my doc suggestted breast milk fortifiers but i cld get them anywhere.can u tell me what vitamins ur doc prescrobed.when i go for 6th month shots i will ask my doc too abt them.i'm trying my level best feeding her but in vain.other momies any suggestions from u are all welcome. i'ms o exausted checking her weight every day

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
