All of you whose babies are sucking fingers, when did they start doing that. Did thye take a pacifier before this? After starting finger sucking, do they take a pacifier now. Do they suck their fingers only during sleep/before bedtime/during the day. Diya wants to suck her fingers so badly. But it doesn't stay in hey mouth yet and I am trying to help her put the fingers in the mouth(This is from a mom who didn't want to even give a pacifier before. Tia never took to a pacifier(I guess I introduced to her late..after 4 weeks) but she has started w/her fist sucking since past month & also has recently discovered her thumb..she stuffs both her fists(tries)when she is playing by herself & also when she is trying to fall asleep..but the minute you take her on her lap she stops it to watch the world from the shoulder tops !but I read somewhere that it is a phase..soon apparently they will discover their toes too & try to stuff them into their mouth too !
