Normal Delivery:Things to bring from Abroad to India

Hi, I stay in Malaysia but am going over to New Delhi, India for my delivery soon. From all those experienced people, would like to know what are the immediate things i should buy and take to India which may not be available in India for my baby and me which i may be needing for the first 3 months. I know most of the things will be available though. If anyone has ideas, pls let me know. Thanks in advance. :)

hi rita,
well the list given by geeth is quite exhaustive and comlete.. i would like to add only one more thing.. buy a good motorized or battery operated breast pump... u dont get good quality of those in india... and sometimes( though i hope that is not the case with you) it takes time to stimulate milk flow..and a good breast pump is very helpful. if u buy a manual one..it will take hours to pump out 2-3 onz of milk.. a battery operated one works much faster...

hp everything goes well for u... dont forget to post a message after u deliver... we wud lov to know if its a boy or girl...

Dear All,

I'm Dr. Meghna Bharath. I'm a strong proponent of Natural Birthing.

In the run-up to becoming a Mom myself, I prepared for Natural birth and delivered naturally. Recently I encouraged and supported my younger sister and close friends deliver naturally as well [through remote advice, since we were across a 10-hour timezone :)].
