Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing fine & waiting for the anatomy ultrasound. Hope all of us would have had this ultrasound by end of this month.

I had a big doubt in my mind. Hope to get it clarified with all u my friends. Many of you are feeling the baby movements.I am a litle confused as to how this feels like, i feel some sudden current pass in lower abdomen at times. Sometimes some slight pain, but nothing like gas bubbles/popcorn popping.Is this a baby movement? i do not know if I am being too paranoid abt this.

I am being too anxious abt this baby movement.Pls help me specially second time moms as they say you understnad better abt this in your second pregnancy.

Thanks for all your tips. I think i felt the kicks of the baby today. It was quite strong, was like a kick on lower right side of the abdomen. It was an amazing experience. I was smiling all alone.:)

Perky Dreamymommy replied. Hi Perky...I too am waiting and confused like you...I am absolutely dying to feel the baby move but have absolutely no idea how I will tell. Sometimes I get a little pain and I think it might be the baby and sometimes a strange hollow ripple in my lower abdomen and wonder if thats the baby. My doc said it could take upto another 4 weeks before I feel it. (I am currently in my 17th week) I have heard first time mom' s take longer to feel it and also if you are overweight (which I am) it may happen later. Whatever it is I am waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
I shall try doing what ck has said and see if it works.

Which week are you in now? You can hear the baby movements around 16th-20th week for first pregnancy. After dinner try to sit quiet say in restroom where there is no other external noises. If you hear bubbles sound from you lower abdomen, as if from your bladder, thatz your baby. If you don' t hear them, try it after a week. I usually get it when I use the restroom in the middle of the night(as if the baby is disturbed from position change or noise).
