Due Date Club April 2004:my bith story

Name: jenn as you all know thru mansi i delivered a baby girl on 6th april and we have named her anusha,..
i shall keep the story short as i have to go and get some sleep after this..
on the 5th morning as i woke up to go to the bathroom, my water broke, and then there was the bloody show , we had to go to hospital immedialtey and there i was given pitocin to increase my light contractions, i started dialting and took pain medication as well as epidural which was a big relief. and my dear darling arrived on the 6th april past midnight,,.
the last few stages iof labor contractions feels like you are constipated and the first few feel like menstrual cramp. so do remember this and
good luck to all.

tina jenn replied. well i took epidural when i was 5cm dialted, actually i dint pay much attention as to when i too the epidural, as i asked for it when i couldnt bear the pain any longer and wanted to conserve energy for pushing..
Sree replied. Hi JEnn, thanks for sharing your birth story. How long it took to dialate from 5 cm to 10 cm? when did you have epidural? I mean after dialating 3cms or 5cms?

sree bhargavi replied. congrats to u and hope anusha is doing great.what was her birth weight and height.abhijit was 5lb 7 oz only so i had easy delivery and 2 second degree tears.but now it is important to take care of him till he crosses 7 lbs.i am breast feeding him and he has put on 3 oz more than his birth weight after loosing initially,so it is reassuring that feeds are sufficient.
u also must be taxed on ur sleep.take rest when anusha sleeps.

Hi JEnn, thanks for sharing your birth story. How long it took to dialate from 5 cm to 10 cm? when did you have epidural? I mean after dialating 3cms or 5cms?
