hi friends,

i had a ante-natal class on saturday. i have been having periods like dull pain in my back for the past 3-4 days so i decided to ask the midwife.

i was so amazed when she declared that my baby has engaged and she wud be surprised if i turned up for the next class :-) which is next saturday.

im in my 36th week...but since the very first day ive been feeling that my dates have been miscalulated...my LMP lasted only for a day...so i cud be more than my weeks...who knows....

what the midwife said was based totally upon her experience...she didnt examine me or anything...but i have a feeling that she may be right....if thats the case i could be having my baby this week or at the most next week...

lets hope for the best....as long as the baby is healthy i dont mind having an early delivery...

im listing some of the symptoms i had mentioned to the midwife...just to give u all an idea of what to expect

1. no rib pains
2. pelvic pains as u get up from bed or walk
3. periods like dull pain in the lower back
4. braxton hick contractions stronger than ever...and u have to stop doing what ur doing untill BHC stops
5. ur tummy looks like its gone down (cant use it as a table anymore)
6. baby movements seem restriced

well...this is what made me talk to the midwife in the first place...im seeing my doc on saturday....lets see that she has to say....i might still be around on 27th november :-)

EDD 27th november poonam replied. hi all u sweet people,

im feeling the same still....yesterday there were 2 strong pangs of pain but not anymore....i wish i had known what to expect...i dont even know what kind of pain it shud be....anyways....im still very much here :-)

CK....till now ive had atleast 6 u/s....bcoz of change of place and other bad stuff....my EDD kept ranging from 19th nov to 27th nov....so i dont know whaen it will happen...but ill tell u what....something did change since past 3-4 days...i feel totally different...

ck replied. Hi Poonam,

I'm surprised to hear that... Your u/s in 5th month would hv told about any changes in the due date based on the baby's growth. They didn't tell it has changed? You can request for a u/s now to check for your due date and baby's growth just for you to be prepared.

In any case, it is safe to deliver after 36th week, so there is nothing to worry. I wish you good luck for a safe and easy delivery and a healthy baby. We both share the same due date and it reminds me to keep everything ready as soon as possible.

Last time I saw the Dr, he mentioned that my baby was head down. I had pelvic pain for a couple of days as I walked, but then it disappeared. I am 36 weeks now and don't feel any extra discomfort. Will keep your indications in mind. Good Luck with your labor and delivery!!!
