hello friends
my son is 19 months old and still having only 5 teeth.so he is unable to chew also.i always gives him everything mashed.what should i do?

5 teeth r actually good enuf. U can give him bread sticks, bread toast, khakra, papad etc in between meals like snack so that he learns to bite and then chew n swallow. This will also help his teeth in coming out faster. Also give him a calcium rich diet coz at this age the child' s calcium intake is directly related to teething and strong bones.

5 teeth is just fine at this age and u will suddenly find all out there. dont worry. mashed food is comfortable for us so they finish meals faster. at the end of each meal, give unmashed rice or food pieces so that they get trained to bite, though slowly. ensure the food doesn' t get choked. at around 2 years you will find her teeth and also they would be comfortable biting all sorts of food.

9.5 months milestones
