Hi all,
I had my 38th week appt on 7th.My due date is 23rd.We did an ultrasound and everything seems to be fine with the baby.Ultrasound technician said that baby is now about 2.97kg(6pound,6ounce)and might gain 1 more pound.But this is just an estimate and might not be accurate.Baby has dropped down but the face is facing up(back labour position).But there is evry chance that the head will turn.Couldnt see baby's face clearly coz the baby has dropped real low.We could see only up to the nose.

The doctor did cervical examination and it was not as uncomfortable as I thought,though there was slight spotting afterwards.The doctor was also slightly surprised to see that I had already dialated to 3 cm.I never expected that.And effacement is 75%.

But I dont feel any discomforts at all.No contractions or pains at all.We asked the doc about my due date but she said nothing could be said.I guess I'll have to wait till our baby decides to come.I heard that some have 3 cm dilation and be like that for 3 weeks without any progress.Any idea?

I havent posted anything much on this board.My pregnancy was very smooth and I didnt have anything informative that'd be helpful to all of u.Anyway,this board was really helpful.....anu.

sree replied. Welcome ... yes, this board is really resourceful and helpful to lot of expectant mothers..nice to know that everthing is going normal with your pregnancy.
