Hi, this is what i have to say or rather need u guys to comment on....

My story is that..I am a dark complexioned girl and i must say i like my complexion.But nowadyaz i m not very comfortable with this fact.The reason being my boyfriend who is going to be my future husband very soon.This is cuz he is verrrrrrrrrrrry fair, with that pink tone as he comes from kashmir.The problem is that i reallllly luv him and dont want to leave him due to this silly stupid reason but the fact remains that i feel very very uneasy.I sumtimes think if few hours r dificult to spend with...how will i live my whole life with these feelings.At times these feelings are overcum by the luv u have for him.
Please suggest n help me :(

I'm married to a guy who is fair like your boyfriend and I'm wheatish. Let me tell you. I'm very happy with him. Assuming that it is love that's why he is your boyfriend. I'm sure he hooked up with you because he liked you.

The way I see it is that if you are comfortable with the way you look and your skin color no one can hurt you. Attitude counts. I'm very happy with my skin color infact I have made the gori-chitti friends wife's jealous.
1)Agian, you just have to happy with the way you are.
2) Know what colors compliment you
3)Have the right attitude.

Be comfortable and everyone will like you

Hey there! what makes you feel uneasy? i suppose your fiance loves you very much why else would you want to marry him, you are worrying to much about color instead of the attractiveness your have which he loves about you. I am not very fair or fair either i have the brown tan complexion but you know what i am more beautiful than any fair skin desi with bad features, i live in the usa and there are people of all colors here but you know what many white guys love tan skin here infact white girls go for tan almost every other month. What your friend said was pretty rude but i think he did not know it hurt you, anyways for nice skin you can try ubtan and milk on your face daily.hope that helps let me know, reply back =)

i think for the most part i can say i know how you feel, but what is a girl to do?? I mean in any movie bollywood or lollywood have you heard a song that dose not start with the letter "G" -gori, No!, Many a times i feel great not worried about a thing then again there is something or someone degrading color meaning dark color, and i simply HATE IT!..... specially the old men, maybe this is why i was not ment to live there because here people love tan girls, I personally wish the pakistani and indian presidents would ban these fairness creams jeezzzzz just stop this loda bull crap. =(

uummm...not really!!u can say about 60-70% of paki population is white but u can see many sanwlis and sanwlas bu u know....because EVERYONE from a young kid to an old man simply die on white skin, u'll see sanwli girls gradually changing their complexion to gora rang. I have no idea how they manage to do it.
I have been brought up in pakistan but m not living there at the time. I am residing in Dubai. I can tell u their mentality cuz i have spent my childhood there. Ofcourse people who luv u will never say anything nasty but there are sum sick bastards, who will constantly compare u to a whiter one. In my case, my own sister is fairer than me and so i was the target always. Even now, whenever it comes to clothes, she is the one for whom bright colors are made and i end up with those dull shades.
Anywayz, just want to say i m verrry happy here in Dubai. This place has got all kinds of people but no issue about race and colour.

Yeah i can understand at first i thought fair skin was all that mattered and i was pretty bizare about it, the only reason for that was when my friend came back from pakistan and told mehow 999% of everyone in pakistan is fair, well she wasnt too much of a friend anyways allways jelous of me and her rudeness showed it so i took her words seriously and started applying fairness creams and stuff, well for now i know that most are brown or light brown and fair skinned people are kashmeri and pathans or pahariea, I still havent been to pakistan and have no idea what or how the population looks like there? could you tell me, if you are still living there?
As far as fairness goes there are allways whiteing pills which in pictures show dramatic results, i still do not know how safe they are.

Yeah I guess u r right..He does luv me. Maybe I m the one who is taking this silly thing of complexion verry seriously but what to do,,u know...things r very different in Asia. Peoples' mentality is sick, i swear.

just wanted to add that he also sometimes comments on the diffrence in our complexions.Like yesterday he said, \";I am thinking of getting a tan as we dont really suit.Im too white n u very sanwli.\";These were his exact words.
