Just wanted to know some things. My son has completed 7 months. He just rolls over from tummy to back and back to tummy he has mastered this. Also raises his chest with the support of his arms, turns around but does not move ahead much and also has not learnt to sit. are these developments ok for a 7 month old. what do u feel. I heard a baby should be able to sit by 6-8 months. what do u say?

Hi!

I think what your baby does is totally fine and good for his age. But please don' t try to manipulate his development with sitting him down supported by cussions or in a high chair. Babies usually start stting themselves when ther spine is ready for it. If you start sittng him down before that, hs spine might be harmed. Also sitting him down will take away the feeling of success of being able to do domething by himself.

Just give your boy the time he needs and be patient. He might do it soon or in 2 months, but in the great scheme of things it doesnt matter.

Nice Weekend to yxou
Mona

dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
