Health Concerns:Is wood termite treatment safe during pregnancy?
2014-09-05
Name: Ashish Sood

Hi

Our landlords are scheduled to get a wood termite treatment done inside our premises. Apparently, localized, drill-and-inject method will be used to treat all permanent wooden installations inside house.

Is such treatment safe for a 14 weeks pregnant mother? or Should it be completely avoided? or Will it be good enough for her to stay out of house for 4-5 days?

Thanks

Hi dear please do not trouble your wife as now she needs more rest and good environment so if these all things will happen then it would be very difficult to see for her and at the same time even you will have a problem to do all such things at one time.

Hello dear this is really confusing as how can you allow the landlord to do such work at the home and why is he doing such nonsense at this point of time is he not aware about your wife, i am sure he must be aware about it then please inform him not to do such things.

Hey bro if you really care for your wife and really want that all should end well and at the same time you should be blessed with a healthy child then you should not go for the same and it is advice sable to not do this for at least a year or so.

Hi bro according to me you should not worry at all as this is not a big deal and it would not harm your wife in any way as its very simple work and no issues at all and also there is no such bad smell as in your wife will not face any problem in this for sure.

Hello dear according to me you should not worry at all as this is not a big issue and can be dealt with it only one thing you need to take care is that you need to take your wife out on the day when this pest control is happening as that day she cannot sit in the house.

Hi dear please do not allow such things as your wife needs good air to breadth or else if the landlord is not understanding then please shift your wife to some other place for a week or so because you cannot keep your wife in this condition in the house with the pest control happening.

Oh dear this is really good to see that your landlord is doing such things in the house and it should be done every year ideally, but in your case i would recommend you to please stay away from this as it can be dangerous for your health and for the kid as well.

May be he is purposely doing that. May be he wants you out of the house. so that he can steal away some cash or other things from your house.

I guess it is too late for me to answer. But let me tell you that it is not safe for pregnant women to inhale the odor of such things. So better to stay out.
