Milestones:putting things into mouth

hi,
my son is around 1 and half years old. still he keeps putting everything into his mouth. i am finding it very distrubing as he mouths sand, pebbles, coins. i tired running behind him and taking it out of his mouth. pls tell me when generally kids stop mouthing these things.or how can i make him stop it. i am worried abt his safety.

YOU have to make the changes. Whenever I walk from room to room, I' m constantly scanning it for things that are small in size that he could put into his mouth. I keep all such things out of reach. Make sure all cabinets and drawers which he has access to, do not contain any such items. I keep all tiny things away from him, but still, sometimes the maid may leave something within his reach or my husband leaves his keys or coins around, so I have to be vigilant all the time.

i am also sailing n same boat as u, i have a 14 month old toddler she also puts anything and everything into her mouth unfortunately there is nothing that v can do to stop it,ven i asked my ped he said that its vvv common among babies and toddlers to put things into their coz thats their sense of feelings things,some do til they r 3 yrs old .

My son is one year old and he is not doing few things a one year should do !!
He does not point at things
He does not say Amma or any words
He does not pick up any objects and show to me

9.5 months milestones
