Name: sowdha My EDD is on april 12, getting lot of cramps in the abdomen espwcially while trying to sleep, somtimes i am not able to sleep and with difficulty if i fall asleep urgency to go to the loo wakes me up. Is it the same with everyone? my sixth week is complete and doc has asked me to come for a scan on my 60 day i.e. sept 2.

Cramps

Sowdha,

This is my first pregnancy and my first doc appointment is on Sept 8th. My gen doc confirmed my pregnancy and I am taking prenatal tabs now. Can you tell me how this cramps feel... I know this may sound funny but the thing is I do feel some discomfort once in a while inside my tummy but its not pain though and I dont know whether this is what you call cramps. Please explain.

hi mansi,
even this is my first pregnancy, i had already an appointment with my gynae, when i told her about the occasional pain she said that it might be due to the expanding uterus, but still i am also worried does it increase for u during the night mine also it is also not paining but some kind of total discomfort in the stomach as if something is rumbling totally, do u also feel the same, if it so maybe both of are quite sensitive. please reply as to whether u also feel the same rumbling but not pain. Take care.

welcome to the group sowdha. i think its normal to go to the loo often. even i do the same. night time atleast twice. luckily no cramps yet for me. but ocassionaly there is backache.

hi tina,
very happy to see a reply from you, i am very thrilled. Well cramps continue to be there when i asked my gynaec about it she was telling that maybe i am too sensitive i notice even the slight changes happening and the cramps which i am complaining is nothing but the uterus is expanding. rest everything is fine and do keep in touch.
