Jyoti replied. HI all,
I will be induced on 29th march due to diabetes and my OB says i have higher chance of C-section and now im more worried for what are the restrictions on the diet after C as we r in US and there'll be no one from India. Although my Mother in law will be sendign those eatables which ladies in India eat after delivery which is called by different names like mewa laddoo, sethaura or other names.. whcih consists of lot of dry fruits and other rich things..so pls tell me if i can have those as i ahev heard it helps in faster receovery but not sure if taken after C - section.
Surbi replied. I am also pregnant and in 7th month in TX. Doctors prefer normal anytime..but if there r too many complications it c-section maybe more advisable. But both cases u get aneasthesia and if u r highly active-walking/excercising....you would make through normal delivery very well. For C-section be careful that u have a good OB/GYN as they need to be very good to avoid any infections and problems for future.
cmp replied. i had a c-section due to last minute complications and have a 7 yr old son. Normal and natural methods are always the best whatever arguements anyone may say. there is lot of risk involved in c-section. it includes variation in dosage of anaesthesia, breathing complications in babies due to inexperince etc....not only that, it takes time to recover...whereas in normal, there is naturally pain during delivery, but recovery to normal health takes place within 2 days...
BE A NATURALIST, unless it is required in the last minute...take care and don't worry yourself and the baby un-necessarily...don't scare the baby ...let him/ her feel like coming out into this new world...
smita replied. thank you very much friends for replying to my message.now i feel normal is better unless doctor says c-section is necessary due to complications.anyway thanks once again for sharing friends!
hetal replied. hi smita,
i gone through normal delievery. i know in normal delievery u feel the more stran but as per medical view point, in c section their is a more risk of life. but in c section v donot hv more stran so everybody is feel that c section is good but in actual practice Normal delievry is good for long run too
take care
sangita replied. hi smita how r u , i have experince my frist delivery is c sec is very difficult to mange but normal is good w can recover in next itself. now i amsecond time pregant 7month but i told doctor i need normal. dont worry normal is good and take care ask ur family they will suggest u thanks bye
Ashwini replied. hi smita,
I am a mother of 7 months old bundle. i had my delivery thru c-section. It just b'cas, there were some last minute complications in normal delivery. But i believe in normal delivery. and i too was prepared for it. B'cas after normal delivery the nature does its job well, you don't have to be extra careful for anything. besides that, it becomes less painful for the second time, as the body has been fully prepared for the delivery. Yes, the normal delivery is painful, but as the saying goes, no gain without pain !!!! And if you can deliver normally, why unnecessary cut you body !!!!
Dhanesheri replied. I think that if you ask people within your family, they will probably tell you that natural birth is best. For me however, I decided to ask colleagues at work and I was told by people who have experienced both that the c section was far more comfortable and went off better than their normal delivery. Obviously, there are lots of pros and cons. I have weighed my options carefully and have spoken to my gynae, my brother-in-law and my sister(both doctors), I 've decided to have an elective caesarean.
Good luck with your decision.
