Do you follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi? How do you celebrate the international non-violence day? Do you believe in the concept of ' Gandhigiri' ?

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar in Gujarat on 2nd October 1869. I really do not agree with each and every idea imposed by Gandhi. Gandhism is the collection of Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings, thoughts, philosophy and beliefs. More than Gandhi I believe and appreciate the efforts of freedom strugglers like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Savarkar. Anyways, I do not do any special things on the international day of non-violence. I am not violent as such but I will not tolerate if anyone is doing any bad to me. In Gandhi’s chapters I got fascinated after reading descriptions of Dandi Yatra. Gandhiji did not believe in material happiness. He did wear clothes enough to cover his body. But I really do not know how m any people will agree on his thinking today.

A film made on Mahatma Gandhi' s life won many Oscar awards. M.K. Gandhi fought non-violently against the British Colonial Rule. Gandhi was agitated to see that machines bought from Europe were largely responsible for the unemployment in the India. It affected the Indian cloth market. He made famous handmade cloth known as Khadi. Khadi is a cloth which is not so expensive and a common man can easily afford it. Gandhi worked on his spinning wheel (called Charakha) till his last days. When Gandhi died the last words from his mouth were, ' hey Ram' . He had lot of faith on his beliefs and due to that he managed to do a lot for the independence of India.

Subject:  2nd OCT is important day

His teachings are nothing but the common things which one should practice to live harmonious life. People say that Gandhi is responsible for the partition of India. But we should also keep in mind that he also did many things which made British people go away from our country. I do not believe in being violent. One has no right to be violent with other person. On 2nd October I do not do any special thing as such but I keep in mind that should not be rude with anyone. I think if we practiced Gandhigiri, the concept became popular after the movie, ‘Lageraho Munnabhai’ we will really gain from it. We should make our youngsters aware about this day of non-violence by promoting it.
