hi all

today i had my appt. my fundus height was 35-36. but i am now in my 38weeks. doc said that its because the baby has dropped. still i am feeling bit worried. does the fundus height decrease like that? doc said its normal. but still i am worried.

anyone having any info?

ur case is nothing but normal and u have nothing to worry.the doc was right.the baby drops further down into the cervix in 37-38 weeks for first time moms and just before delivery in second and higher time moms.since ur baby has dropped down his height has decreased and that is what happens normally.an internal vaginal examination also must have been done for u and the doc must have confirmed ur babys dropping down.however some doctors dont do the internal exam and confirm on the basis of fundus height only.have faith in ur doc and dont worry unnecessarily and stress ur little one.

Hi Tina,
When baby heads down and drops in pelvis preparing to come in real world fundus height can be different from actual age. As long as you feel baby kicking and you were good with fundus height before this then you don't have to worry.
