hi archie! hope u r doing well.i am from the jan 2006 board wonder if u remember me. seeking ur valuable opinion yet again but this time for a friend of mine who is due in dec 2006.

this friend used to have unbearable pain during periods, irregular cycle, excessive bleeding.u/s showed presence of a fiboid in her uterus for which she was on the the pill for a while.the prob is there for about 2n a half yrs.the doc did not operate upon her as she did not have children.she just got married in march2006and has concieved in april(LMP 24march).

today she went for an u/s, saw the heart beat but there r 2 fiboidsnow- 1 on the inner wall 1 on the outer wall.obviously we are worried.acc ur knowledge/experience,

can u pls comment on what r the chances tht the fibroids wud affect the baby.

is there anything tht can b done to ensure safety of the life growing within her?

can it be cured?

she is almost 29,few kgs overweight

thanx in advance
