Hi,
we have been constantly postponing buying digital camera. Now the time has come.. I have 2 cameras in mind. 1) Sony DSCP10, 5 mega pix 2)Canon SD400, 4 Meg Pix.
They both cost around $400.
any suggestions which one is better? Some friends say Sony and others Canon, am confused. Any ideas are appreciated.
thanks

Hi again Sree,
I don't much info about the Sony or Canon, but I do have a Nikon camera, which I absolutly love! I have a Nikon Cool Pix 5700, with 8X optical zoom and 5 megapix. It is an awesome camera, and the quality of pictures is unbelievable. I use it with my Sony digital printer DPP-SV77 (disublimation printer), and I make all my pictures right at home. I never use my manual camera...and I never ever have to go to a camera shop to drop off the film...
I think my camera was a little more expensive than $400, but I purchased it last year, and since then the price went down. 5 megapix sounds good, wht is the zoom quality on these cameras? I suggest that whichever camera you buy, you also purchase a specialized photo printer so you can print your own pics. In the long run you save money...we buy our photo paper in bulk via the internet, and the price of this paper is definitely lower than it would cost for me to drop off 5 roles of film....
Hope this helps again...

S2R2 replied. Technology wise Canon leads the pack in Digital Cameras. It definitely looks sleeker than any other. We're also thinking of buying one soon for our second baby due in April. Good luck!
