My doc visit wnt off well this week. The good thing was that sugar level was very normal (91mg) and the only worry now is the size of the baby. Looks like I might have to go to the C Sec though I am totally against it. The baby is already around 7.5 pounds and still not in position. So doc says that they will be able to decide only after the onset of labor. My pelvis is also not very broad....Anyway just hoping that the baby is fine.....She says the baby would be on time....9 Apr. Another month to go. hope everybody else is doing fine with their babies.

Should be fine...

Hi Sharmila,
nothing to worry. I had my child birth class yestereday and she was telling that doctors avoid to deliver baby in breech position and go for C section since it's much safer. As everyone mentioned your doc may try to turn the baby upside down. Worst case be mentally ready for the C-section, if you want to avoid any risks..

as selvi said, you can ask ur doc abt trying to change the babys position..

Nice to know that your appointment went well and your sugar level is also normal. So now its only 1 more month right... are you nervous?

Did your doc mentioned what exactly the position of your baby now? Like selvi mentioned there are some breech positions from which an experienced doc or midwife can turn the baby with some external massage and make the vaginal delivery possible. So if you are against a C-section check about this alternative also. One of my friend who went to a midwife actually went through the above situation and delivered a baby girl last year.

Today I too have an appointment and is planning to check with my doc about my baby's position. This is my 32nd week appointment.

Hi Sharmilla, Great news to hear that every thing is going well. Is your baby in breech position? I thought even if it is, nowadays the doctors can do some minor abdominal adjustments to move baby to position? 7.5 pounds also may not be toooo high. A friend of mine delivered a 9 pound baby :-)

I am just into my 30 week and I feel I have reached a milestone. I had a surprise baby shower from friends yesterday and am still hungover with the excitement and happiness of the day :-)

Thanks for you assurances. Yes, I am now getting mentally prepared to face a last minute C Sec too. The baby is not in breech so glad about that!
