I started potty training my child from the age of one. Initially keep him diaper free for a few hours in the morning and evening or whenever you can pay full attention to him. Take him to the loo every half hour and make hissing sounds for urination and slowly he will get the idea. He might still wet his pants once in a while but dont scold him. Tell him that the best place to do it is in the toilet.

For potty, let him get accustomed with the toilet first. Even my son, initially used to do part in the toilet and balance later in the diaper. That is okay as a starter. Sit with him while he is at potty all through, make grunting sound and pat him on the back or smile every time he actually does the \" potty\" . Tell him stories and make sitting in the potty enjoyable(though not for the mothers surely). Keep doing it every day for some time and he will slowly get the idea.
Gradually increase the time to full day without diapers and you will surely get results after about a months effect. Good luck

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
