I am confused where to reply, here or in the Sept board. I have done so in both :-)

Hello,

Very nice of you to keep in touch. Thanks for the wishes. You can get in touch with me anytime over here. It will good to know your updates. Wow - 9.4 weeks already. Very soon, you'll be done with trimester one.

Are you planning to take classes during summer semester? I plan to take just one but since my son will not be in preschool it will be a mad and hectic semester!

All the best for the doctor's appointment, TA

Hey TA,

till now I have been using website calculators to know the gestational age and due date. But today doctor gave me an estimate using some data charts. She said that I am now 9weeks+ 3 days. (So, it is 2 days less than the website calculators).
Can you comment on heartbeat range of 163 to 180 in 9.3weeks? I think it doesn't have any role in telling the gender of the baby, but just like all other first-timers, I am asking out of curiosity.

I am not taking courses in summer. I will be taking in Fall which will be final semester to graduate. Ya, I know it's hard to simultaneously manage a kid and go to school or for job. Donno, how I'll be managing:-)

With love,
blessed_mom

The old wives tale is that a heartbeat of greater than 140 means a girl. But I think it is too early at 9+ weeks. The rate slows down very slightly (not a whole lot) as the weeks progress. With this pregnancy I always had a heart rate greater than 150 and I am having a girl. I do not know remember the heart rate for my son, but I think it was on the higher side too. So there goes the midwives tale.

I've re-started school only now. I quit my job when my son was 5 months old. Now I am deciding on a second career. I am not sure what to do. But I am definitely not going the corporate 9-6 route. I am sure you will decide what is best for you. Don;t worry.
