Hi everyone

I am in my 27th week and getting larger by the day. Baby kicks around quite energetically ... at times I think he may even be somersaulting !!

I am based in South Delhi. Do any of you know of any prenatal / antenatal classes in South Delhi ? Have any of you joined these ?
My gynae has told me of one lady MS Nutan Pandit in Def Col who conducts 6 classes of 2-3 hrs duration each and charges 3000 /-. She says classes are not necesary and has left the choice to us. What do you all feel?

Yup, I've joined the classes ...2 so far... quite good...

Spring Meadows is in East of Kailash which is quite close from Saket where we are... my EDD is 8th Aug. How are you keeping these days ? Baby kicks around quite a bit these days... get tired easily at times too.

Are you in a joint family or just the 2 of you ? Got a maid to help you out ?

I'm not clear about what will they teach in my next 3 classes which are left but yes the one that you have told seems to be more helpful.

These poeple at holyfamily had asked me after my 4th month to book myself for the EDD by depositing some advance. It is very close to my house (I stay in New Freinds Colony) so we had the mindset already to be booked here only for the delivery and its a very neat & clean Hospital and many people has had good experience over here.

Where is Spring Meadows ??? It is close to Def Col. ??? And yes, when is your EDD ???

Thanks for writing in. Monica, yeah I am also a to-be first time mom...the exercise sessions you talked about sound good... in this class I was talking about I believe they take you thruough more ... like preparing your for motherhood / fatherhood (hubby also attends), breastfeeding etc so may still be worthwhile.. but I am still considering it and trying to find out more...

My gynae hasn't booked me in a hospital yet.. she says we will do that around the 32nd week...we are likely to go in for Spring Meadows...

Parul, I am pretty sure those funny sensations in your tummy is the baby... that's how it began for me as well... I was so unsure I though it was probably gas...these should get better defined shortly. I can promise you that... and then soon you'll feel your baby move around quite clearly. Infact babies even respond to sound / music... so don't be suprised if he responds to loud music by kicking you hard :)))

I am in my 22nd week. Read your posting about prenatal classes. I have still not planned exactly when to go for it. I am in US and most of my friends here have been to one. Some of them found it useful while some did not.
Also can you please tell me from waht time did you start feeling the baby move. I am still not feleing it very clearly and I get anxious as to why.
whne can one clearly feel th ekicking and all that. Is this your first baby?
I am in my 22nd week and sometimes I feel something going on in my stomach.
Its not very clear, difficult to describe the sensation. I think those are the movements.

I also stays in South Delhi and am also in the same week as you are. Are you also going to be first time MOM ???? I have already taken 2 classes out of 5 on prenatakl exercises. I have been going to Holy family Hospital for all my check-ups and booked it for the due day. There, they have a physiotherapy deptt. where they just charge Rs.100/- per class. They give you 5 classes total on all the exercises you should be doing these days. They only teach you the exercises in 1/2 an hour and believe me they are good. In the first class they taught me about the basic body parts stretching exercises and in the second one they taught me about some relaxation exercises. It is cheap & best I can say. So, why to spend unnecassarily heavy amount on the same results. Take an appointment and check yourself. If you need their contact details do let me know. Take care ...... bye...
