Due Date Club March 2008:no nausea

Name: Shaikhs Hi all,

I m 5+ weeks pregnant.I m not having any nausea or throwing out.Is it normal?????I asked my Midwife and she told it is absolutely normal and nausea will start after 8 weeks.I m a little bit concerned as some ppl have it from 4th week only.

Please help me......

u can call urmidwife and tell her that u want ot confirm pregnancy thro bloodtest... then she wil tell u to go to local blood centre.. do it soon then about tablets,, she is right i and all our friends took only folic acid till 3 months.. they wont prescribe u anything other than this... i just took only folic acid tablets till 9 months of my pregnancy.. sinc emy iron level was low... so dont worry if u have any concerns give ur no ill contact u..

great to hear from u.. in the first blood test they will check hiv virus and antibodies... they did this for me in the blood test... and it was around 8-9 weeks i believe i could not remember exactly.. but dont worry if ur midwife says follow them they will guide u properly.. but if u want to do it early u can ask them..

u r in birmingham right... who all stays with u??when did u come to uk? and what r u doing..? feel free to ask me anything

Hi Priya,

Thanks for the info. Actually we are a bit concerned because they didn´ t do urine test or blood test when my midwife visited me.We contacted when my home pregnancy test came positive.And neither she started any Prenatal vitamins.She just told me to continue with the Folic Acid for 3 months. What i know that atleast they do urine test or blood test to confirm it around 6 weeks.

I came to B´ ham in Nov.2007 with my hubby as he is on his project.Me and my hubby are only there and i m a house wife.

We are planning to call my midwife today or tomorrow.

Ohh... sorry,actually i read your messages in Dec. batch.
Congrats.
My midwife told me to have blood test after 9 weeks, which we feel is pretty late.We thought i go tomorrow itself as i have finished my 7th week today itself.I m new here and have no idea, when is the blood test done here.What should i do?During first blood test what all test will be done?

No nausea??? Super!!!!!!

Hey Shaikhs!

I' m sitting here wondering why you' re complaining you' re not afflicted by nausea!! You should be jumping for joy!!!! Consider yourself to be one of the lucky ones darling!! Keep doing whatever it is you' re doing.. And thank God that you' re not nauseous! It' s really not the most pleasant feeling to experience. I' m sure lots of expectant moms would love to swop places with you.

Nothing to worry

Shaikhs, If you don' t have nausea its completly normal as in my first preganancy I NEVER had nausea. And even this time I' m 4 weeks now and I don' t have nausea yet. So nothing to worry

It is gud tht u r not getting these problems. There is nothing to worry abt it and ur midwife has suggested u right only..
Jus take complete care of ur health. Take lots of water and fruits....
