Hi,

I had my first checkup the other day and doc said everything is fine. As I had my u/s in 7th week, now they did only internal test and blood test. Yeah, they took 5tubes which felt like much.
Doc also adviced me to take first screen test between 11-14weeks. This was not done when I had my son (3yrs back) but looks like this is new and suggested for everyone and is covered by insurance.He also said it will be done by radiologist and in hospital for detail look. Well, can' t wait to see the baby again.
Feeling tired in the day time and also little bit nausea (mainly when my tummy is empty). But don' t feel like cooking.

Subject:  docs visit



Hi Aparna,
I had my first visit to the doc. But suprisingly, she advised only 2 med- one pregnidoxin - for vomitting and other duvadalin. No other test or med. Now visit to internet showed the pregnidoxin should not be taken. Dont knw what to do.

Hi Deepa,

Hope you are doing well... :)

I am from Jan board but read your message regarding your medicine intake... is duvadalin a folic acid tablet?
We need to take Folic acid tablets from initial stages of preg, which helps in preventing some abnormality in the baby... if your doc has not given the same.. please ask her about it... take care, sweta :)

Hi Aparna,
As i told u I have a 51/2 yr old child, and will go for check up 2mrw. But i am surpised of the new test u r undergoing. Generally USG is done in the 12th wk. and what is this screen test, and internal test. I am lil scared.

Hi Deepa,

This first screen test is nothing but downsyndrome/chromosome test. They said this test will be done through external ultra sound and blood test. I guess no need to worry. Yeah, this test will be done sometime during 12th week
About internal test, its just papsmear and doc checked uterus.
