Hi,
Congrats ... you must be excited with the arrival of the new born approaching in a few days!
I guess I can answer your doubt regarding the requirements for the baby!
You dont need a baby seat or a stroller so soon . Your baby would only start sitting or walking after a few months i.e. 6 + mnths .
All you need right now is : jablas (baby vests), hooded towels, napkins (6), receiving sheets, cloth nappies and diapers, some sheets to lay the baby on and some to wrap the baby in, baby soap and powder, a bucket for soiled clothes etc. Make sure you keep Sudar creme for nappy rash and emergency medicines (ask your paediatrician) for the same.
Also do buy mother and baby care by Elizabeth Fenwick which is available in any known bookstore in Mumbai. It would help you in the long run.
wish you lotsa luck!

Hi,
u must be pretty exicted.Well for starters buy a maternity gown for urself.take care that it shud be the front opening types and if it opens upto the stomach its good so that u can hold the baby close to your body.(this is what the mother support groups at my gynaec taught us). Also for the baby u can visit any baby shop and u will get all new born baby items simple loose cotton clothing(if ur in India than April would be hot).U would also need wrap around clothes for ur baby. While buying towels for ur baby buy hooded ones becoz a baby loses temperature fast after a bath and the head shud be dried immediately.
And one more thing..do ask ur doctor how to take care of the new borns navel once it is born becoz i had a very bad experience.

I hope this helps...
