Due Date Club December 2006:Hi Archie.... rgd induction
2006-12-17
Name: Meghana

Hi Archie and others,

I had an appointment with my Doc yesterdar and she did an internal examination. She said the Crevix is softened but the baby's head had not yet engaged. My Due date was 18th Dec but my last USG had shown the growth less tahn expected.

My Doc says she will go for an induction on 20th if there are no further symptoms of normal labour.
My query is whether its safe to go for an induction at this stage or should i wait longer for a natural labour to begin?
How long does it take to deliver after an induction?

Thanks in advance for the responses.....
Meghana

If induction is considered from effacement then it could be 24 hrs long procedure or if gets on track then just a few hrs.

if baby shows growth slower then one should think that let baby develope fully before induction is scheduled.
