Deepa, I don' t get it it. You are obviously educated and have entrusted your pregnancy to your gynecologist. His/her advise re your nausea is not wrong. nausea is caused by some hormonal changes and will settle down sooner or later, but if you are nauseous and unable to eat you are depriving yourself and baby of essential nutrients needed for baby' s mental and physical development. Is that not more important than any outdated ideas about medication? After all your doc is highly trained and experienced too, I' m sure, and knows what he/she is doing. Take the meds!!
Also, if you have nausea in the morning don' t start your day with liquids like milk and tea. Eat a piece of dry toast or a cracker. It may help settle your tummy.
All the best!
