I' m in my 17th week of pregnancy and suffer from occasional backaches.Are the ointments safe during pregnancy.Can anyone suggest some home remedy?

HI Diya,

I feel some flutters - a sort of....but am not sure whether it is the baby moving....for my first, i felt around my 17th week so expecting the same......will update when i cofirm that the one i am feeling is the baby movement.

HI diya,

I suffered from back ache 3 weeks ago....keep a pillow near your lower back to support when you lie sideways. I applied iodex/amurthanjan and ocassional hotpack(though not recommended much) and it really helped me....Ask your hubby to massage your back.

My doctor suggested this to me.....Also she said that leaning on the wall, being erect and pretending to sit in a chair and getting up motion will relax the back.....its little tough but helped indeed. Will ask my obgyn when i meet him this friday.

Hi Jichi,
I too used to get my back messaged by my husband, but recently i came to know that massaging back is not good, as it may lead to early delivery it is recommended only during delivery ........so just check.
